What is the Alliance for Education?

The Alliance for Education is a San Bernardino County partnership with business, labor, government, community and education to align common goals in order to produce an educated and skilled community that will provide a qualified workforce. Working in collaboration with all stakeholders, and partnering with the P-16 Council, San Bernardino County and Smaller Learning Community schools, the Alliance has the potential of impacting more than 61,000 students in its intial phase.

With the support of over 1200 stakeholders from across the county, three regional Alliances are now in place, with steering committees mobilized, and are currently developing the three system components of the Alliance: P-16 Education, Family Involvement/Literacy, and Economic/Workforce Development.

Each of these components are interdependent and of equal importance in realizing the Alliance’s mission to produce an educated and skilled community that provides a qualified workforce. The dynamic relationship that exists between these components hinges on embracing and incorporating the elements of Rigor, Relevance and Relationships.
